Dear Open Ministry:

Great package. I have been a pastors assistant for 25 years and have never needed credentials but now i plan to do some chaplain work in retirement and nursing homes and needed some certification to do so.

A friend of mine who is a retired pastor but let his credentials in his denomination lapse when he retired told me about your organization. He does chaplain work in hospitals and uses your certification to meet their requirements.

I recommend your service to those who have the experience in ministry to do the job but lack the necessary paperwork to serve.

I am very thankful for this site. I am a graduate of a 4 year college with a masters in theology but never really thought about being ordained. Until a close friend asked about marrying him and his girlfriend. Then after some research I found this site and the process was very quick and hassle free. I found this sight and program to be very helpful. I have had ministry training, but never got ordained. I had couples ask if I would marry them, but was not ordained. Open Ministry gave me what it took to perform the marriages in my state.

The package was very helpful and included the necessary materials to complete the services, such as certificates for example. However, the booklet that contained the information on what to say for the ceremony contained extremely specific ceremonies and not the general form. Also, the package should include helpful tips on ceremony etiquette, such as what to wear, and things to ask the bride and groom.
