I just completed my first wedding ceremony and it went very well. I used your examples as a starting point and in talking with the couple came to an agreement as to how the wedding would progress.

I ended up writing my own comments, but followed a pretty typical pattern, which included a candle lighting ceremony and a prayer after, that I also wrote from examples in your material.

I made sure to check with California law and my county clerk to make sure all was legal, which it was. The Clerk said that they would only look at my ordination papers if there was a mistake on the documents, so I was glad I had them if needed. I did not need them as it turned out, but it gave me peace of mind to have them.

I have been a Christian for 50 years and held various positions in the church over the years, including elder, so this seemed rather natural. I appreciate your materials, advice, etc. and look forward to serving the Lord in new ways as he opens doors. Thanks again. Pastor Dave
